Upcoming Meets
NELMSC SCM Championship
December 9-11, 2022
WPI, Worcester, Mass.
The New England LMSC Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the 2022 NELMSC Short Course Meters Championship Meet will return to Worcester Polytechnic Institute this December. Please mark your calendar and save the date!
This promises to be a great time and WAM will bring it! Masters meets are all about the fun and seeing how your training is paying off. Our team spirit really shines as we root for each other to do the best we can!
Even if you have never swum in a meet, all your team mates have experienced their first swim meet at some point so they know the feeling can help first-timers have a great time.
We will be working on our social calendar. We like to have activities sprinkled throughout.
Feel free to make suggestions!
Below are some of the activities we’ve done in the past and are looking forward for the future:
Wooberry Frozen Yogurt – 141 Highland St, Worcester – after evening practice
Comet Pond Swims
Park at the beach entrance which is on rt. 68. We generally walk up as a group at around 7. Our usual route is a 1/2 mile each way with a rest period at the half-way point. If you have fins feel free to bring them and use them. After the swim, some will go out for bagels at the Bagel Inn in Holden. Generally, we swim Comet every Saturday or Sunday morning until early September.
WAMiversary Dinner
Our annual celebratory anniversary dinner is held each year where we will induct a new member into our Hall of Fame and elect our new board.
Walden pond swim
No date has been fixed yet, but WAM generally celebrates the American revolution swimming in the beautiful Walden Pond and then going out for breakfast in downtown Concord.
Bay State Games
A fun and entertaining meet. You get a free t-shirt upon competing and usually top 4 receive a free gift (in the past it has been jackets, sweatshirts and recently backpacks). Registration and more information can be found at

Miles 4 Michelle
A great swim for a great cause. WAM has been a proud supporter of this swim since its inception. It is a 1/2 mile or mile swim in Lancaster to raise money for a scholarship in the name of a local swimmer who passed away after battling cancer. Registration and more information can be found at
