MILES 4 Michelle fundraiser swim to support the Michelle Farnsworth Scholarship
Michelle Farnsworth was so many things to so many people. A sister, daughter, niece, friend, fighter, princess, and most importantly a hero. At age 15, she was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) in March of 2014. She fought the hardest battle but unfortunately the illness took over on Tuesday January 13th, 2015.
In memory of Michelle, we are holding an Open Water Swim to raise money towards her Scholarship Fund and to bring the swim community together to start off the season in a positive way. Michelle had such a passion for swimming and anything she pursued. We will be awarding the scholarship to high school students who never stop smiling, go above and beyond for others, and have a passion for what they do like Michelle did. Like she always said,”Life is too short to be anything but happy”. There will be one person missing in the crowd but I know she’ll be watching from above. Please join us for a morning full of fun and celebration of Michelle’s life!
